Deeply sorry to hear the news of Mano – I had a good catch up with him (his wife and older brother Dr Sri) in February at his home. As we know he has been battling with health for several years.

Have fond memories of him. God Bless his soul and family.
Love
Ravi

Gentlemen ,

It is with absolute sorrow that inform you of the demise Mano ( S.Manotharan) of STC 1st X1 cricket fame and the popular school boy in 1972/73 . He was very ill over the past few weeks in Hospital as well .

He was an entertaining batsman and a super wicket keeper with a record in Keeping at the Big Match .

His cousin Sasi Ganeshan conveyed the sad news to me a few hours back , when I was returning from Gurutalawa after the 75th Anniversary of STC @ Guru .

God bless our dear Mano and we will remember him with deep affection always .

In sympathy

Milinda

Dear Sriyan

Sad news indeed.

Funny I was talking about Dr Sritharan with a friend last Saturday and he asked if I knew the brother who owned the Shanmugas restaurant.

I told my friend that I new him also as we were all cricketers of STC.

And then this news.

Please do convey my deepest Sympathies to the family.

Cheers,

Sriantha.
