Subject: Independence Day - Celebrated with a difference by Unity Mission Trust

Dear Respected Recipient,
Please do permit me to share this mail and these pictures with you. Please do spend a few moments running your eyes over these visuals.

* Unity Mission Trust launched off on an amazing Project, across Sri Lanka to celebrate Independence Day! - UMT Youth Leaders of 12 Regions launched off on *Social Care- Independence Day Projects, suitable to their areas, to show care for those less fortunate on the 68th Anniversary of Independence.
* Projects included -work at orphanges; building up a library; planting trees in sinhala/ muslim/tamil schools with students joining in together; medical camp & counselling session; a full day programme for remote students on lines of unity camp and gifting school books. All funds raised by UMT Youth from the area and from the little they themselves possess.
* 12 Regions of UMT, across Sri Lanka, planned, organised, raised their own funds and implemented very meaningful projects, focusing on Children and Youth.
* UMT Youth, launced off the Projects by first singing the National Anthem, then the UMT Anthem and then sharing a message on the objectives of UMT.
* Each Region, also encouraged other Regions with their own Projects -- and shared their ideas and thoughts with each other- across the social media network that has been across Sri Lanka. Bridges of friendship that had been built, are now being made stronger, for Sri Lanka's future success.
*This is unity and integration and community service at grassroots level in simple and practical ways.
* It should also be noted that the National Anthem has been sung together in Sinhala and Tamil, at Unity Mission Trust events from last year, thus creating a new dimension to UMT operations.
* Projects were carried out by Youth from - Ambalangoda -Karandeniya; Kandy; Vavuniya; Colombo ; Jaffna; Mullaitivu ; Galle; Ratnapura; Mannar; Killinochchi.
Projects will be completed this coming weekend at Elpitiya and Matara- Mirissa.

This Social Care innovative project, follows on the first ever National Youth Leaders Conference held in early January in Colombo.
YOUR own prayers and positive thoughts, encouraging feedback and above all - funding support will strengthen us with the rest of our Projects for 2016 !
