Default Errol Jacotine

To. The Prefects Group,

I reproduce below a mail sent by Dr Buddy Reid, contents of which is very sad, as such at this stage we could only pray for a peaceful passing away.
When he was in school in the late fifties, he was the Head Prefect of College and the Wood House. Was a colousmen in Athletics and Basket Ball and Captained the school in both sports.

With kind regards

on behalf of the Prefects Group.

Hello Nihal,

I am sad to say that Errol's condition has taken a dramatic downturn. His secondaries have spread like a shotgun, all over his body including the brain. He has accepted the advice of his Nephrologist that it is useless continuing dialysis and it is best for him to gently slip away. Violet has also accepted it. All treatment has been withdrawn.

I saw him yesterday. He awoke briefly and shared a few moments with me. It is likely that he will pass away today or the next few days.

I remember Errol for his part in the stage play, Seven stages of Man, where the Big burly Errol was brought on to stage in a wheel barrow wheeled by DENIS Ferdinands(as I remember)
Errol was with a Milk bottle or a soother in his mouth covering his assets with a nappy pinned with a large size safety pin.
What a site he made.t
The year 1958???
May the rest of his pilgrimage be peaceful and free of pain.
I wish him well

Thanks Sriyan. He was the Head Prefect of Wood and though senior to me I remember him well. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Dear Sriyan,
I remember Errol as a put shot, discus and Javelin thrower. I as a small boy would watch with awe, his hulky frame perform. He is an outstanding Thomian. May God grant him an easy conclusion to an innings well played.
